Narragansett Beach Family Shoot

Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

I drove down to beautiful Narragansett, RI for some family portraits several days ago. We had some wonderfully warm summer evening light. I had a great time chasing the kids around – and was most definitely worn out by the end of the session! Thanks for a fun time!

Michelle & Steven: Married

(the above image was taken by fantastic second shooter, Dave Field)

The groom trying to get used to the new accessory on his finger. I love the awkward fidgeting that so many grooms get once that ring is on.

I think the above image may be my favorite from the day. I love the light peeking over the Aldrich and the way that it back lights Michelle and Steven.

Tornado warnings were in effect for the Rhode Island area last Saturday. When do we ever have tornado warnings? At very least it was supposed to be a day full of thunderstorms and rain. Turns out, the day was perfect. The afternoon light was great – and the rain (and associated severe weather) held off!

I’d been looking forward to this wedding for a long time, as the Aldrich Mansion is a beautiful venue and the couple was wonderful. The day started at the Biltmore Hotel in Providence where the ladies got ready practically huddled around the weather channel radar loop. A few images were taken upstairs on the top floor, overlooking the beautiful city of Providence, then they were off to Aldrich Mansion for the ceremony and the rest of the celebration.

Michelle & Steven – Thanks so much for having me along on your wedding day – and best wishes to you both!
