Day After Session w/ Kristin & Daryl

Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010

Last week I spent some time with Kristin & Daryl, just two of my favorite clients from 2010. I was accompanied by Dave Field who shot alongside me during this fun ‘day after’ session. We hit four very different locations over the course of the afternoon, starting outside an old mill in Peace Dale, then moving to the jagged rocky shore of Narragansett, then up to a large open field, and finally to the beach for sunset. It was chilly (especially for Kristin!) – but it kept us moving quickly. I think we got some great shots out of the day. These are just a few of my many favorites! Thanks Kristin and Daryl – for a fun time making some cool images!

Finnuala & Scott: Married

Tuesday, November 9th, 2010

(the above was taken by my second shooter, Mike)

Finnuala and Scott were married a few weeks back at the Lanam Club in Andover, MA. I met Finnuala while photographing Michelle and Steven’s wedding back in June. It was the perfect fall day for a wedding, cool temps, great colors still on the trees, and just enough of a chilly breeze to keep us all moving quickly.

Finnuala got ready at her parents home in Andover. She and Scott opted for a “first look”, which is a quiet moment where the bride and groom see each other before the ceremony begins. From a photographic standpoint, these first looks couldn’t be better. It’s a great unscripted moment during the wedding day. I’d encourage all my future brides to consider doing this.

We then went across the street to the Phillips Academy to take some pictures among the colorful trees and open space that the school has to offer. Over to the Lanam Club after that, for the ceremony and the dinner & dancing that followed.

These are just a few of my favorites from their day. Thanks so much Finnuala and Scott for inviting me up to photograph your wedding!

Beavertail Lighthouse Family Session

Friday, November 5th, 2010

Just a few images today from a family session a couple weeks back down at Beavertail Lighthouse in Jamestown, RI. Ben and his family came down from Providence to run around for a bit on an overcast afternoon. We had a fun time kicking the soccer ball around and playing around on the rocks a bit. We beat out the rain and were able to get some great shots of them being a family. These are just a few of my favorites from our time together. Thanks for hanging out a bit, guys!

Corrie & Matt: Married

Thursday, November 4th, 2010

Matt transcribes his vows onto paper from his blackberry.

Corrie and Matt were married a few weeks ago at Christian Hill Community Church in Coventry, RI. It was a great ceremony; Corrie and Matt wrote their own vows. After the ceremony we went outside and utilized the peak foliage as a backdrop for the formals, then back inside for lunch catered by Big Boned BBQ and dancing. Thanks Corrie and Matt for having me at your celebration!
