Some Off Season Shooting

I spent some time last weekend in an unheated old mill this a few other photographers, and our model, Scout. We explored the open space for a bit and created some really fun images. It’s always nice to meet and talk shop with fellow photographers in the off-season. I had a blast! These are just a few of my favorites from the day.

The top one’s the winner here, great light, clean post, love the eyes and that you can see the tats but they’re not totally in your face. Also, love the falloff, it’s not “hey I’m gonna underexpose the ambient by 3 stops” but a nice gradation from foreground to background.

2nd to last is just awesome…great lines, great expression. Definitely (IMO) the one that exhibits the most “vision.”
