Melissa & Patrick: Married

Melissa and Patrick were married this past weekend in Scituate, RI, in a ceremony at a quaint, small town church complete with the 150 year old creaky floors that make it tough for wedding photographers to move around unnoticed during a quiet moment.

The reception was held at the family’s home. It’s a gorgeous piece of land nestled out of the way of road noise deep into Scituate. There’s something about backyard weddings that really conveys a more relaxed, laid back atmosphere than most weddings. This reception was made complete by offering guests a chance to sample over a dozen different pots of homemade chili with all the fixings. There were even designated judges who awarded prizes to the best chili of the day. The tablecloths were drawn upon with messages and well wishes to the couple. A photobooth was set up and run by Seemonkey Photobooths who always provides a great service, printing photo strips and providing ways to finish each print for the couple as keepsakes.

Patrick is in the Army, and they expected him back at work first thing Monday morning, which meant changing clothes and hopping an early evening flight out of Providence. The send-off was grand, however, with all the guests lining up to wish the couple well and safe travels.

Thanks Melissa and Patrick for having me! It was wonderful to be a part of your celebration!
